Gale Malone, RDH, BS is a Clinical Educator for DENTSPLY Professional serving the Northeast Region of the US> She received her dental hygiene degree from Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, PA and completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA, where she served as adjunct faculty. Gail's experience of more than 20 years in dentistry includes clinical practice, dental hygiene education, dental practice management and dental distribution.
Gail has developed and presented educational programs at the international, national, state and local level. Audiences include dental and dental hygiene students, professional professionals with current scientific research and information to assist them in implementing effective and efficient evidence based treatment protocols in their clinical practice.
| David A Matzilevich, MD, PhD is a founder and director of NECTAR (New England Cellular Therapies and Applied Research) where his work focuses on stem cell based therapeutic approaches. Prior to joining NECTAR, Dr. Matzilevich was a faculty member at McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School. His worked there involved identification of molecular endophenotypes and susceptibility genes involved in the pathogenesis of Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder. Dr. Matzilevich received his MD, PhD from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London, UK. Following his studies in London, Dr. Matzilevich received a fellowship in the Department of Pathology at Tufts Medical School in Boston and went on to the University of Texas Medical Center at Houston in the Department of Neuroscience and the Keck Center for Neurology and Neurosurgery where he worked on the use of adult stem cells for the treatment of neurological disorders. Dr. Matzilevich is currently involved in several clinical trials using adult stem cells for treating neurological disorders. Dr. Matzilevich lectures extensively on stem cells, holds several patents and has published over 30 peer reviewed articles and papers. Dr. Matzilevich appears frequently on TV, radio, industry and scientific journals as well as mainstream print media as an acknowledged stem cell expert.

"Aiming for Success: Analog to Digital" This course is designed to provide dental auxiliaries with practical information on intraoral radiography techniques. The basic principals of intraoral radiography will be discussed including hands-on application of these principles to digital radiography.

"Dental Pulp Stem Cells rom Analog To Digital" Dental stem cells, along with other stem cells from the craniofacial region, develop from material that is created during the development of the nervous system and have the potential to differentiate into neural cell lines Researchers are examining what role they might play in tissue regeneration.
This course will offer material that will highlight and answer questions regarding the following information:
* Why are stem cells important? * What is dental pulp? * What does current research indicate? * Why is this important to you and your family? * What are the potential for uses of Mesenchymal Stem Cells?
