COURSE DESCRIPTION

This program will review occupational safety and health, with discussion of the bloodborne pathogen standard, exposure management and control programs mandatory for a safe working environment in the dental office. Information obtained will comply with OSHA-required annual retraining requirements for dental hygienists. This program will also present various resources from which to obtain more training.



Course Instructor:

Trisha A. Cloutier, CDA, RDH, BS, MA

Trisha Cloutier, Assistant Professor in Dental Hygiene, Sophomore Clinical Coordinator, and Student Advisor for ADHA at Bristol Community College, graduated from CCRI with a Certificate in Dental Assisting, AAS in Dental Hygiene and AA in General Studies.  She continued her education at URI obtaining her BS in Dental Hygiene and MA in Adult Education. In addition, she completed advanced clinical education and is licensed in local anesthesia. She has an active role in the development and implementation of infection control polices and protocols at BCC. She is in clinical practice at Bayside Dental and lives in Bristol with her husband and 2 daughters.
