Highlights of 62nd Annual Meeting

The Quonset O. Club was the setting on September 22, 2007 for RIDHA’s 62nd Annual Meeting and Installation of Officers Luncheon.  Installation was conducted by District One Trustee Beverly Litchfield. Bev also provided highlights of ADHA’s 84th Annual Session as well as an overview of the newly launched national branding campaign, details of which can be viewed on the adha website at: http://www.adha.org/media/releases/06222007_branding.htm.
During the business meeting a motion was made to make a draft of the RIDHA Strategic Plan available online for members to view and provide feedback to Executive Council members for editing. A suggestion was also made to dedicate a meeting to further explore ADHA’s branding campaign.
The event also included an interesting and informative continuing education program on the topic of Arthritis presented by Barbara Dawidjian. In addition to the elections and C.E. program, outgoing President Rosanne Errante presented the scholarship award to CCRI Dental Hygiene student Aubrey Mazza, and the 2007 RIDHA Presidential Membership Award to Melissa Sullivan. Several 2007 CCRI Dental Hygiene graduates were also introduced and welcomed to the dental hygiene profession.
